(BLAKELY, GA) Lincoln County will play Bowdon for the Class A Division II state football championship on Monday, December 15, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta. The pigskin will fly at 3:30 when the two traditionally strong teams of Red Devils collide.
(LINCOLNTON, GA) Lincoln County hammered Brooks County 52-16 here last Friday night to earn a berth in the Class A Division II semifinals. Kelby Glaze rushed for two touchdowns and returned a fumble for a third as fireworks celebrated every Devil touchdown.
(LINCOLNTON, GA) Lincoln County's Cheer Devils' run-through sign read "Not all Devils are created equal - watch us prove it" and that they did - frequently and relentlessly. The home Red Devils walloped the visiting Red Devils from Hawkinsville 56-0 here last Friday to earn a home game in the quarterfinals.
(LINCOLNTON, GA) Lincoln County whipped Randolph-Clay 43-6 here last Friday night as the Class A Division II playoffs opened. The local Red Devils will host Hawkinsville this Friday in the second round.
Lincoln County welcomes another group of Red Devils as the 2025 GHSA Class A Division II playoffs open this Friday in Lincolnton. The pigskin will fly at 7:30.

Unique pylons
For many years, the orange pylons around the endzones at Buddy Bufford Field were unique. Coach Larry Campbell put the year and score of the Devils' state championship game wins on the pylons (one each).
Buddy Bufford and Thomas Bunch both played as Red Devils before leading the Lincolnton team to state football championships.
